The Jedlik Ányos High School investment continues to gather accolades. The building already holds a Tekla Structures award and a BIG SEE Award, and now, its "trophy case" has expanded once again, as it has won the 2024 Construction Excellence Award in the Public Building/Education category. The award plaque will be displayed on the complex as well.
The Jedlik Ányos High School project stands out as an exceptional facility and endeavor. The educational institution is located in the Csepel district of Budapest, where the old school was expanded by 6,500 m2 and underwent a complete reconstruction. After the concept design, bim.GROUP Ltd. was responsible for creating the permit documentation, detailed design, and manufacturing plans, with our team covering five main disciplines: architecture, reinforced concrete and steel structural design, building envelope, and electrical and mechanical design. The greatest structural challenge of the project was the design of the auditorium’s roof, which required considerable expertise, experience, and the use of the appropriate software.
