András Balázs Kocsis, Business Development Director at bim.GROUP, was invited as a speaker to Vienna by Construsoft to participate in the professional event called TEKLA User Day. András shared his insights into the design process of the National Athletics Stadium, focusing particularly on the use of algorithmic design.
The presentation titled “BIM ‘Crown’ of Budapest – Algorithmic Modelling of the Athletic Stadium Roof” offered a compelling behind-the-scenes look at the stadium’s design. Special emphasis was placed on the algorithmic model that enabled the spectacular roof structure to evolve from a digital concept into detailed fabrication plans. The project stood out as an exceptional example of the synergy between BIM and parametric design, which not only sparked professional interest but, according to feedback, also inspired the international audience.
The event provided valuable experience in several respects:
- Tekla’s development directions – particularly the integration of AI, real-time collaboration features, and intelligent inter-model connections – are opening up new possibilities for the future of BIM-based design.
- International case studies, including our company’s project, offered tangible examples of advancements in digital workflows and the practical application of parametric design.
Participation was not only a professional recognition but also a confirmation that bim.GROUP’s innovative approach and complex projects deserve international attention.
We thank Construsoft for the invitation and congratulate all speakers and organizers on the excellent quality of the event!
