We recently announced that the bim.GROUP team won the Construction Excellence Award in the public building/education category for the design work carried out at Jedlik Ányos Gymnasium. Now, we are pleased to share that the plaque marking this achievement has been officially and ceremoniously installed on the building. With this project, the bim.GROUP team has expanded its portfolio of accolades, as it has already earned a Tekla Structures Award and a BIG SEE Award for this work.
The Jedlik Ányos Gymnasium is an outstanding facility and project in its own right. Located in Budapest’s Csepel district, the institution underwent a complete reconstruction and expansion, adding 6,500 square meters to the original building. Following the conceptual design phase, bim.GROUP Ltd. was responsible for the permit documentation, construction planning, and manufacturing design, involving a multidisciplinary team specializing in architecture, reinforced concrete and steel structures, building envelopes, electrical systems, and mechanical design. One of the greatest structural challenges of the project was covering the atrium space, which required extensive expertise, hands-on experience, and the use of advanced software solutions.
