The National Athletics Centre secured fifth place in the world ranking of the Stadium of the Year vote! A total of 35 remarkable stadiums competed for the prestigious title, and with 8,525 votes, Hungary’s pride outperformed several newly inaugurated venues from 2023, each boasting a capacity of at least 10,000 seats.
The gold medal went to the Brazilian football stadium, MRV Arena, with 25,125 votes. Germany’s BBBank Wildpark secured second place with 21,218 votes, while Poland’s ArcelorMittal Park football stadium claimed the third spot with 14,947 votes. Thanks to enthusiastic voters, another Polish venue, the Orlen Stadion, took fourth place.
The National Athletics Centre, which finished in a prestigious position in the month-long online competition, has already achieved numerous records and accolades. However, our greatest pride remains the fact that the design, manufacturing, and execution of its iconic crown—the steel roof structure and tensioned cable roof—were carried out by the dedicated professionals of KÉSZ Metaltech Kft. and KÉSZ Ipari Gyártó Kft. The steel and cable roof structure design was the responsibility of our strategic partner, bim.GROUP.
