Once again, our colleague Levente Csorba, BIM Manager at bim.GROUP Kft., delivered a lecture at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. As part of the 3D Structural Design course, students were introduced to the concept of BIM for the first time, learning about its fundamental principles and its critical importance from our expert.
To provide real-world insights, the high-level BIM environment and workflows of bim.GROUP were presented as an example, aiming to spark students' interest in the field. The lecture also offered a comprehensive overview of the essential BIM knowledge required for future structural designers.
As part of the course, students are tasked with modeling a simple hall structure and creating plans using the Tekla BIM software. The colleagues at bim.GROUP have been involved in this educational effort multiple times, and later in the semester, our manufacturing designer colleague, Dávid Kúr, will once again deliver a lecture on parametric design and the Grasshopper-Tekla integration, providing students with insights into one of our office's key high-end design methods.
