The Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME)'s Faculty of Civil Engineering held its prestigious and long-standing Scientific Student Conference once again this year. In collaboration with our strategic partner, KÉSZ Group, bim.GROUP Ltd., IQ Kecskemét Ltd., and MileStone Economic and Engineering Consultancy Ltd. awarded three outstanding student papers, contributing to the professional development of these young talents.
In the Structural Engineering, Sustainable Construction, and Geodesy and Geoinformatics sections, András Balázs Kocsis, Business Development Manager and Designer at bim.GROUP Ltd., participated as a reviewer.
The bim.GROUP award was given to János Sajti, a civil engineering student, who chose a truly complex topic for his paper: "Examination of the Shear Load Capacity of a Trapezoidal Sheet Ridge Hybrid".
The MileStone award for sustainable architecture was given to Sára Fonyódi, who earned the recognition with her paper titled "The Impact of Refurbishing Panel Buildings on Energy Consumption and Summer Overheating". Sára was awarded for her scenario analyses of climate-conscious refurbishments of existing buildings, helping to explore ways to make buildings more energy-efficient and resilient to the impacts of climate change.
The IQ Kecskemét special award went to Nóra Czeglédi for her paper titled "Application of Robotic Measurements in Special Engineering Geodesy Tasks".
