Last year we pulled off a great success with the National Athletics Stadium and the Jedlik Ányos High School projects, and this year we need your support again. The public voting phase of the 2025 TEKLA BIM Awards has officially begun, and anyone can cast their vote for the bim.GROUP and Metaltech projects. This time, three projects are competing in their respective categories: one is a bim.GROUP solo entry, while two are joint submissions by bim.GROUP and KÉSZ Metaltech.
The TEKLA BIM Awards 2025 is a prestigious international competition that recognizes outstanding construction projects created using TEKLA Structures software. The goal of the competition is to showcase the best examples of using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology and to honor teams that apply digital design tools in innovative ways within the construction industry.
MET Arena (formerly Alba Arena) is a new, iconic sports and event hall in Székesfehérvár, completed in 2024, and has since become a defining element of the city’s modern identity. bim.GROUP was responsible for the engineering design of the building’s complex steel structure and roof cladding. The structural and fabrication design works began in 2022 and concluded in 2023. This would not have been possible without the expertise of KÉSZ Metaltech, whose team handled the steel structure manufacturing.

The second project has grown into a flagship initiative due to its sustainability goals. The KÉSZ Greentech Solar Parking project aims to unlock hidden potential by developing and deploying an integrated, tension-structure-based solar system that not only provides shading but also generates energy efficiently. The first step was the concept developed by sbp sonne GmbH. The realization of the idea was made possible through close collaboration between sbp sonne GmbH, bim.GROUP Kft., and KÉSZ Metaltech Kft.. The Prototype Project was self-funded by the international consortium and built in Kecskemét, marking the first physical implementation of a system suitable for mass production.

Finally, votes can also be cast for bim.GROUP’s individual submission, the Rozelle Interchange Project, which has already received multiple awards recently. Located in western Sydney, the project has transformed the former Rozelle rail yard into a livable, green urban space. bim.GROUP proudly contributed to the Rozelle Interchange in Australia, led by Studio Chris Fox. Our team was responsible for modeling the steel structures and preparing the fabrication documentation, working as part of a truly international collaboration.
