We can proudly announce that bim.GROUP won the Hungarian round of the Tekla BIM Awards, and not only did we win the best project according to the jury, but we also won the public vote. With this victory, our team has qualified for the international competition in which you can vote for the building designed by our team until September 30!
The Tekla Global BIM Awards present the industry's leading BIM construction projects using Tekla software from all around the world. The nominated unit is the steel structure of the new reception building, which has been built as part of the Hungexpo Revitalization project. The shape of the "F1" building was modeled after a propeller, its real shape is a doubly curved "free form" 3D shape. Our task was the production design of the steel structures, furthermore we managed an integrated optimization task, where manufacturability, transportability and feasibility aspects were also taken into account.
Our design work method is based on the real-time connection of Rhino/Grasshopper-Consteel-Tekla Structures, which enabled a detailed analysis, evaluation and optimization of the geometry.
